Vucic announces high-speed train trip between Belgrade and Nis will last one hour and 20 minutes

The realization of the high-speed railway that connects these two cities is planned for the end of 2023

"Great news for our people. Today, we have finally made a decision, we are going to build a high-speed railway between Belgrade and Nis," President of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic said in a post on the Instagram account "buducnostsrbijeav."

As he said, the total length of this line will be 204 kilometers, while travelers will be able to reach Nis from Belgrade in one hour and 20 minutes; all this will be happening by the end of 2023.

The signing of the contract, he added, is scheduled for the next three months.

"Another big news for Serbia and 70 municipalities of central Serbia, is that we will soon sign a contract to build factories for wastewater treatment, followed by the construction of sewer pipes. The first on the list are Kragujevac and Nis, only in Kragujevac there will be over 600 km of pipes," he added.
