Corona flares up in countries around Serbia, even in these with seaside: Number of cases is too big

In the past 24 hours, there has been a significant increase in the number of new coronavirus cases in the Balkans. Romania recorded a drastic jump compared to yesterday and registered more than 1,400 new cases, while BiH had 341.

Croatia

In the past 24 hours, 219 new cases of SARS-CoV-2 virus infection have been recorded in Croatia, while two people died. The number of currently active cases in that country is 1,520.

Among them 122 patients are hospitalized, of which 11 are on ventilators.

Since February 25, 2020, when the first case of coronavirus was recorded in Croatia, a total of 7,074 cases have been registered, with 168 people dying and 5,386 recovering.

There are currently 5,459 people in self-isolation.

Bosnia-Herzegovina

In the last 24 hours, 341 newly infected persons have been registered in BiH.

As announced by the Federal Institute of Public Health in the entity of the Federation of BiH (FBiH), another 234 cases have been registered, while in the Serb Republic entity there have been 106 newly infected people identified in the last 24 hours.

Seven patients died in the Serb Republic and five in FBiH.

The newly infected persons in the Federation of BiH come from all cantons.

Montenegro

The latest data from Montenegro is still awaited, but yesterday there were 47 newly infected people, the Institute of Public Health announced.

521 samples were tested, and there were no deaths.

49 patients recovered from coronavirus.

The new cases were reported in Podgorica and Niksic - nine each, Rozaje (8), Berane and Bijelo Polje five each, Budva and Ulcinj three each...

The total number of active Covid-19 cases in Montenegro is currently 1,017.

Since the beginning of the year, the total number of registered cases has been 4,132.

North Macedonia

According to yesterday's data, 130 new cases of coronavirus were confirmed in North Macedonia, while two people died.

During the previous day, 1,742 people were tested, while most new cases are in Skopje, Stip and Prilep, MIA reports.

Since the start of the epidemic, 12,970 people have fallen ill in North Macedonia, and the death toll is 549.

At the moment, 2,908 cases are active, of which 905 are in Skopje.

Slovenia

Another 37 cases of coronavirus have been confirmed in Slovenia, and there have been no new deaths from the infection.

So far, 2,493 cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed in Slovenia, of which 285 cases are currently active, the STA agency reports the latest data from the Slovenian government.

There were have been no new deaths, while a total of 129 people have died since the pandemic began.

There are 17 patients in hospital, three of whom are in intensive care.

Out of the 80 imported cases of coronavirus in Slovenia, 64 are from Croatia, the health authorities announced today, and the Slovenian government recommended to its citizens to return from their summer vacations in Croatia as soon as possible, because otherwise they will have to go into quarantine.

Romania

In Romania, another 1,409 people became ill with coronavirus, while the total number of those infected is 73,617, the health authorities announced. Yesterday the number of new cases was 1,014.

Another 32 people died from COVID-19, while a total of 3,106 people died since the beginning of the pandemic, reports the Agerpres agency.

33,566 people have been cured.

Bulgaria

Another 169 cases of coronavirus have been confirmed in Bulgaria, 34 more than the day before, while the total number of infected is 14,669, the country's health ministry announced today.

Seven more people died from COVID-19, while a total of 519 people died since the beginning of the pandemic, reports the TASS agency.

Currently, 782 coronavirus patients are hospitalized, while 61 people are in serious condition.

Hungary

The number of confirmed cases of coronavirus in Hungary has increased by 32 - to 5,002, it was posted this morning on the official website coronavirusvirus.gov.hu

There have been no new deaths, and the total number of deaths since the beginning of the pandemic is 609, while 3,665 people have defeated the virus, reports the MTI agency.

There are currently 728 active cases of infection, with 57 coronavirus patients hospitalized, seven of whom are on ventilators.
