Photos of snow in Serbia, there's plenty of it in this area: Fairytale-like ones are from mountains

Cloudy weather has been forecast for the coming days, while sleet and snow are expected in higher areas

We are deep in December, but have only seen snow so far this season on high mountains. We would say, "First snow!" but then the weather would once again turn into that typical of the late fall. Well, today is another story.

Plenty of snow has now fallen above all in eastern Serbia, with social networks flooded with pictures from Bor, Zajecar, Negotin, Soko Banja...

Still, it seems that we will have to wait for a new blizzard.

In the first half of December, there doesn't seem to be any prospect that we will fight snowdrifts or have cities competing which one built the best snowman.

Cloudy weather has been forecast for the coming days, while sleet and snow are expected in higher areas.

Besides, the wind has not "left" us yet, so strong Kosava is expected tomorrow as well, while strong winds are also expected in the mountains.

Hurricane-force winds can be expected in the south of Banat, over 120 kilometers per hour.

In recent days, there has been talk of strong winds not only in Banat but also in the mountains - but that the winter idyll is possible without snow is evident in incredible photos taken on Stara Mountain. The frost was so strong that it streaked plants, signs, stones.

Ice formed like thick crystals and gave one of our most beautiful mountains a completely different look. This is what Stara Mountain looks like at a time when far fewer people dare to set out towards Midzor.

However, pictures from Bor, Zajecar and other places east of the Morava River are enough to let us know that winter has knocked on our door.

There has also been snowfall on the mountains Zlatibor and Maljen.
