How Belgrade pimps got arrested: 6 suspects rented apartments for prostitutes, took them to clients

Members of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Service for the Fight against Organized Crime, in cooperation with the Prosecutor's Office for Organized Crime, arrested six members of an organized criminal group suspected of committing criminal acts of association for the purpose of committing criminal acts and mediation in prostitution. M.R. (42), N.R. (36), V.M. (45), N.I. (43), N.J.. (40) and S.M. (30) have all been arrested.

It is suspected that, in the period from August until December last year, they rented apartments in the territory of Belgrade where women suspected of engaging in prostitution stayed.

The suspects advertised prostitution, and transported the women to their clients for the purpose of providing sexual services.

During the search of the suspects, as well as the apartments they used, the police found cash, telephones, a small amount of powder-like substance suspected to be drugs, and a laptop that was used to keep a record of women providing sexual services, and of the clients.

The suspects will be brought before the competent prosecutor's office, along with a criminal complaint.
