Serbia is 5th in the world in number of vaccinations per 1 million inhabitants: More than the US

Serbia has overtaken the US and as of this morning, it is 5th on the list of countries worldwide when it comes to the number of vaccinated citizens per one million inhabitants.

When it comes to the number of revaccinations per one million inhabitants, Serbia is first in Europe and fourth in the world, Tanjug is reporting.

For comparison, Serbia has more revaccinated citizens in absolute numbers than Hungary, Slovenia, Croatia and Bulgaria put together.

According to the latest data from the government, 1,343,718 vaccinations against coronavirus have been performed in Serbia so far, along with 487,359 revaccinations.

In terms of number of vaccinations per one million inhabitants, Serbia is second in Europe, after the UK, and according to the number of revaccinations per one million inhabitants, our country is first in Europe. Malta and Romania follow on that list.

Globally, Serbia ranks 5th in the number of vaccinations per one million inhabitants, after Israel, Seychelles, the United Arab Emirates and the UK. The United States is in sixth place.

According to the number of revaccinations per one million inhabitants globally, Serbia is fourth, after Israel, the United Arab Emirates and Seychelles.

Serbia is convincingly at the top of the list in the region in terms of the number of vaccinations per one million inhabitants, followed by Romania, Hungary, Slovenia, Croatia, Bulgaria and Albania.

Serbia also ranks first in the region in terms of the number of revaccinations per one million inhabitants.

According to the total number of vaccinations and revaccinations, Serbia is second in the region, after Romania.
