"It is known what organized crime is and how money is obtained, through some companies and roads. These are the people who had political goals, and if things are nipped in the bud, then the money will not go to them, but remains in the economy as it should be," Zorana Mihajlovic told TV Prva today.

She says energy and mining can contribute to the country's economy as well as construction and transport, if not even more.

"We must know the mineral value of Serbia, how much of what we have, how to exploit it. Why not invest in the distribution network, why not build, export...," added the minister of mining and energy.

About 4 or 5 billion euros can be investments in energy. Mihajlovic added that the increase in the price of electricity is not a topic now, instead social cards are in focus.

Serbia consumes four times more energy compared to surrounding countries, the minister said. The problem, she says, is also in the devices used by households, in windows and doors in buildings.

Zorana Mihajlovic says that bills will be lower by up to 25%, if we introduce efficient energy. She also said that Serbia will not run out of gas, despite the setbacks. "The Balkan Stream has given us two directions of gas inflow. We now have it at even more favorable prices," she added.

We are going to build another connector, she said, so that Serbia, as the central country of Southeast Europe, will be able to provide new inflows and routes, as well as suppliers.

The tender for the Nis-Dimitrovgrad gas pipeline will be announced in about seven days, the minister said, and the pipeline should be completed in about two years.
