Serbian MMA fighter killed in shooting in Novi Sad

The shooting in Novi Sad that took place on Thursday night took the life of Uros Stefanovic (27), a little-known Serbian MMA fighter.

According to initial information, this was a showdown between criminals. After the shooting, the killer fled. The police blocked Novi Sad and the search for the suspect is in progress. One person was detained as part of the investigation.

The shooting happened in the Novi Sad settlement of Detelinara, and Stefanovic died from his wounds.

According to media reports, Stefanovic was hired as a bodyguard for a person who got wounded and who was allegedly the main target of the attack.

Stefanovic won multiple medals in wrestling, judo and grappling, and he also tried his hand in MMA where he had two defeats.
