Video of fire in Covid hospital in Tetovo: People jumping out of windows, blaze engulfing everything

A video of the moment when a fire broke out in a temporary hospital in Tetovo, in which 14 people died and 12 were injured, has appeared on the social network TikTok.

The video was recorded by the security cameras in the Tetovo hospital, and it shows how quickly the fire spread and in just three minutes, the entire hospital was engulfed in it.

The video shows people getting out of the windows, trying to save themselves, and after a few seconds, thick smoke hovered over the camera, so some of the shots are difficult to discern, reports Telma.

In the meantime, the autopsies of 14 fire victims have been completed.

The cause of death was high temperature, burns and suffocation. The DNA analysis is nearing completion, and the prosecution will receive the report later in the day.

Forensic medicine confirmed for the Macedonian portal Telma that another body was brought to them for an autopsy - the 15th victim from the fire in the modular hospital in Tetovo.

It is a girl in her 20s, who had cerebral palsy, and who was resuscitated by doctors when the fire broke out. Resuscitation was stopped, and she was immediately taken outside with her mother and medical staff, without injuries or burns from the fire.

The girl, who has already died, was taken home, but the prosecution subsequently added her to this criminal event and requested her autopsy, which is why the body was taken away from the family who were preparing her funeral.

With her death, the number of fatalities in the fire or related to the tragedy rose to 15.

12 patients who survived the fire at the hospital in Tetovo are in good health and have no injuries from the fire, authorities said.
