Members of the Serbian Army with four armored vehicles - Lazar and Milos, two each - are deployed two kilometers from the administrative crossing Jarinje in the direction of Raska, RTS reports.

The Serbian Army is on raised combat alert due to the situation in northern Kosovo, and in the past three days Serbian Air Force planes have also been flying over this zone.

Members of the special unit of the Kosovo police are still on the ground, and because to their presence, local Serbs are still gathering and demanding the withdrawal of Pristina's decree regarding test license plates for cars from central Serbia. Until that happens, the citizens have been blocking the main Raska-Leposavic and Ribarice-Zubin Potok roads, for the eighth day now.

This morning, at 4:00, the members of Rosu got a new shift in and, as before, this passed peacefully, without provocations from the Serbs.

In the meanwhile, Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama arrived in Pristina today after a meeting of the UN General Assembly. A meeting has been announced with the prime minister of the Pristina government, Albin Kurti, but not with President of the Provisional Institutions, Vjosa Osmani and President of the Assembly in Pristina, Glauk Konjufc.

For three days now, the warplanes of the Serbian forces have also flown over the area. Combat helicopter were seen first, followed by Orao and MiG-29 planes in low flight. A KFOR helicopter also flew over the area.

The flights of the Serbian Air Force and KFOR helicopters were taking place as Minister of Defense Nebojsa Stefanovic and Chief of the General Staff of the Serbian Army General Milan Mojsilovic were visiting the forces deployed there as tactical groups, in a state of increased combat readiness. They are normally located in the garrison in Raska, the military base Rudnica and in the direction towards the administrative crossing Jarinje.

Russian Ambassador to Belgrade Aleksandr Botsan-Kharchenko was also with them.
