The Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) did not talk about personnel solutions for the upcoming elections in Serbia, but only about candidates for party positions, the mayor of Novi Sad and vice president of the SNS, Milos Vucevic, told Euronews Serbia.

He said that it was not clear to him why the party has not yet nominated Aleksandar Vucic for president of Serbia.

Milos Vucevic said that he believes that Aleksandar Vucic has a moral obligation to run for president again and finish what he started in his first term.

"Everything that is happening seems to me to be leading us into a stormy campaign and probably the intention of some people is to be able to replace elections with the street," the vice president of the SNS stressed.

He added that he was aware that work should be done on democratization of society and strengthening the culture of dialogue, but said he had no doubt that everyone will participate in the election.

"For us who are considered favorites, I think it will be a tough election. Our bar has been raised high and whoever wants to win will have a difficult campaign," he added.

Commenting on the talks with the SPS and cooperation ahead of the vote, Vucevic said that there are different projections and that this is being considered.

"We had two meetings with our colleagues from the SPS, we formed working bodies on certain issues, we'll see, I think we will have to make a decision at the beginning of next year," he told Euronews.
