The best tennis player of Serbia and the world, Novak Djokovic, has finished the current tennis season and is now deservedly resting in our country, where he is "recharging batteries" for the coming challenges. The next one, at the beginning of the calendar year, will be participation in the ATP Cup in Sydney.

And our best tennis player could become the head coach of the national team there, since Viktor Troicki is most likely not planning to travel to Australia. The reason is that the first and second in rank automatically play singles matches.

"As a head coach at this competition, I don't get asked much and I don't believe that I will go. The coach does not decide anything, because the first and second automatically play singles, there are no changes. Only if one of them gets injured can someone replace them. I don't decide anything. I am not going, for now," Trociki told Sportski Zurnal.

That is why there is the possibility that Novak will find himself in Viktor's role, because when there is no coach, that position is taken over by the best-ranked tennis player in singles. Or, if he decides that - his own coach can be promoted to that position, which would mean that Goran Ivanisevic could lead Serbia.

On January 1, Serbia will embark on a campaign to defend the ATP Cup title, with Djokovic, Dusan Lajovic, Filip Krajinovic, Nikola Cacic and Ivan Sabanov.
