The Ministry of Internal Affairs will do everything to find Matej Peris, a resident of Split, Croatia, who went missing in Belgrade, Minister Aleksandar Vulin said today and added that there is certain information about the disappearance of the 27-year-old, but that his family will be the first to know the final outcome.

"Whether the good or the bad is confirmed, the family will learn about it first, and only then the public. This is not a media sensation," Vulin told TV Pink and added that the search will not be abandoned.

He pointed out, however, that the disappearance of the young man was reported late, but that all security cameras have been checked and that operatives are doing their job.

"The moment we received the report, we recognized how important it is, a young life is endangered," Vulin stressed.

The minister said that operatives have spoken with the young man's father Nenad Peris several times, as well as with his friends, waiters, security from nightclubs, and that the Gendarmerie's divers are investigating the terrain.

He added that a conflict inside the nightclub is ruled out and that he does not want to say anything more than that.

The disappearance of Matej Peris was reported to the Ministry of the Interior by a friend of his on December 31 at 6 pm. Parish came to Belgrade for New Year's Eve.
