Between the Mlava River basin and the Zagubicka Valley in the north, and the Resava River basin in the south, lies Beljanica, one of the largest limestone mountains in the eastern part of Serbia.

Numerous caves are located in the ridge of Beljanica, and Malo and Veliko Vrelo (spring) at the foot. On the southern slope of the mountain is the Veliki Buk waterfall.

Surface flows with a large number of rivers and streams of sinkholes make mountaineers happy, because the water is clean and can be drunk without fear of infection.

In speleological circles, Beljanica is especially popular, because there are a large number of caves on this site. The most famous is certainly the Resava Cave, but also the Velika Atula, Jelarce, Pionirska, Izvidjacka, Ivkov Ponor and Vlaska caves.

The peak bears the same name as the mountain - Beljanica, and is located at 1,339 meters above sea level. Although it seems that this height is easy to overcome, once you try, you will realize that this is not the case.

Despite that, Beljanica, along with Trem and Rtanj, is one of the three mountains that mountaineers prefer in Serbia, because the nature is beautiful, and the view from the top is spectacular.
