Minister of Finance Sinisa Mali said today, at the opening of the Kopaonik Business Forum, that Serbia has resources to react to in the event of an even worse crisis in the world.

Mali stressed that the country's Commodity Reserves are being filled and stockpiles of everything that is needed are being provided.

"We still have enough money to procure everything that is necessary. In the event of an even worse crisis, going forward, Serbia has resources to react," Mali said.

He recalled that the state has forzen the prices of basic foodstuffs and fuels, and that there will be no increase in the price of electricity for citizens, since the state is taking on the burden of the crisis.

Minister Mali stressed that the exchange rate is still stable and that the state is not allowing the crisis to spill over into the economy.

He remarked that the world is no longer the same as it was only two years ago, because a lot has changed, and added that Serbia has nevertheless remained a stable country that is reporting growth.
