Garasko Lake, today a favorite picnic spot for Arandjelovac residents but also tourists from all over Serbia, is locared in the heart of Sumadija, on the outskirts of Mt. Bukulja, and was created by blocking a river of the same name in mid-1970s.

The glades and woods whose colors vary according to season also change the experience of the landscape, making it always look as if it was painted by a different artist.

Garasko Lake consists of three arms - Vrba, Lekic and Milicevic, and is named after the hamlet of Garasi, which got flooded and sumberged in water during the building of the dam.

Swimming is not allowed in the lake, but fishing is. Pike, pikeperch, catfish, red pikeperch, silver bream, grass carp and chub are some of the fish that fishing enthusiasts patiently wait to catch from the shore and meditate looking at the deep blue lake water.

The catch almost never disappoints - that is why Garasko Lake is a favorite of fishermen who do not like to return home empty-handed.

For those who do not like fishing, but like to explore natural beauties, Bukulja is "at their fingertips." Nearby is the Risovaca Cave, one of the best known Paleolithic sites in Europe.
