Tennis expert Alex Corretja claims that Novak Djokovic will have to work hard on his physical condition if he wants to pose a threat at the French Open!

Corretja, who played in two Paris finals, added that the next few weeks are very important for Novak, who was in the meantime eliminated at the start of the Monte Carlo tournament. He almost ended his participation in the Serbia Open in the 2nd round, but after a tennis drama, managed to beat Laslo Djere, also of Serbia.

"Novak, like everyone, needs time. You have to be patient, because he hasn't played for a long time. Even if he is not injured, he lacks rhythm. He needs to play matches and he will have to go through the moments when his heart is coming out of his mouth, but he will have to recover from that. I think he has to work hard physically, because his legs have to be stronger on clay. They need to get bigger because you slide from side to side," said Corretja and added:

"You need be able to play points consisting of 30-40 shots and recover from that. So I think he will have to play at least 10 or 12 matches before the French Open to be really ready and feel like one of the candidates to win it. And I think Novak will be ready for that."
