All about the new Chinese shopping center in New Belgrade: "It will be the most beautiful in Serbia"

Belgrade will get a new shopping center located in Jurija Gagarina Street. It will be a modern facility with about 500 units.

The investment in the land alone amounts to 7 million euros.

Zou Junyong who represents the company said, when asked by Telegraf Biznes about the start of works, that he hopes it would be "as soon as possible." As he announced for our portal, the new shopping center will have new, Chinese brands, but also the existing ones.

"We will bring new ones, but our goal is to first accommodate those who have no place to work, who lost everything in last year's fire," he told us.

As he stressed, the center will have around 500 stores, restaurants...

 "Together, we are now building a new, modern center. It will be the most beautiful shopping center in the whole of Serbia," he said.

Chinese Ambassador's Deputy Tian Yisu stressed that the two countries share a steely friendship, but that in addition to political cooperation, the connection between the two nations is important. It was pointed out that in that sense, this project will be important for the citizens of Belgrade, but also for the Chinese who do business here.

"The city of Belgrade sold land in New Belgrade to a Chinese company. It was high time to build a modern facility. The Chinese have been in Belgrade for many years, working on serious large infrastructure and traffic projects, but they are also present with small businesses. Large companies have their representative offices, and this shopping center is for these small businesses - to enable them to present themselves and for citizens to shop," Deputy Mayor of Belgrade Goran Vesic said during the presentation of the project.
