Fake luxury real estate agent arrested in Belgrade: Eminent city company defrauded one million euros

D.B., a fake Belgrade luxury real estate agent, has been arrested in cooperation with the UKP department, the police station for the city of Belgrade, and on the order of the Deputy First Basic Public Prosecutor's Office he was detained yesterday on suspicion of committing fraud, Telegraf.rs has learned from the First Basic Public Prosecutor's Office.

There is well-founded suspicion that the suspect first created fake power of attorney documents using the ID card of a property owner, who trusted him to be in luxury real estate business in Belgrade, after which he misled an eminent company based in Belgrade, specifically authorized persons and proxies of that company convincing them that he is the authorized proxy of the property owner, and then after concluding the sales contract illegally obtained 1,100,000 euros in the name of the down payment and the purchase price.

In cooperation with the police, the prosecution is still checking whether anyone else was involved in the execution of this biggest case of fraud committed in several past decades by an individual. If it is proven that he had assistance in committing the acts, they will be included in the supplemented criminal complaint. The suspect D.B. will be questioned today, after which a decision will be made regarding his detention, and then an investigation will be conducted by examining the injured parties and witnesses, followed by an expert analysis of signatures, as well as a financial investigation.
