Wasp bites driver near Cacak: He goes into shock, drives off road and crashes into concrete pole

A traffic accident happened on a local road in the village of Prislonica near Cacak, when the driver of an Opel car lost control of the vehicle, drove off the road and crashed into a concrete pillar.

As the accident happened in a populated area, the locals immediately came to the driver's rescue.

"He suddenly swerved and hit the pole, we thought he'd lost control because he might have drank, or that his car skidded. However, what actually happened left us speechless. A wasp flew into the car and bit him, and the man is allergic to wasps so he immediately went into anaphylactic shock, which is why he drove off the road," one of the eyewitnesses told RINA.

Several locals managed to pull the injured man out of the car, and soon an ambulance arrived at the scene.
