The squad has just won the gold medal at the World Championship.

On Saturday in the Netherlands, the Serbian volleyball team defended their world championship title won four years ago in Japan. Serbia beat Brazil 3-0 in this final.

"The monetary prizes are awarded with the aim of affirming sports and preparing athletes to achieve even better results that will contribute to the affirmation of Serbia," said the Government of Serbia.

In than time, they also won silver and bronze medals at the 2016 and 2020 Olympic Games, and two World Championship titles.
