"Always ready, alert and professional": Vucic and Vucevic congratulate Land Army soldiers their holiday

President of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic has sent a congratulatory message today on the occasion of November 16 - Land Army Day and expressed his belief that its members will remain the strongest support in preserving peace and stability.

"I congratulate all members of the Land Army on November 16 - Service Day. The rich and glorious history of the Serb people was marked by the Battle of Kolubara, which began on November 16, 1914, and in which the Serbian Army proved to be unbreakable and omnipotent, winning a victory when it seemed that defeat was the only option for it. Motivated by the heroism of your ancestors, you show your undisputed quality in the execution of tasks every day, both at home and in multinational operations, regardless of the severity of the conditions imposed on you along the way. Always ready, alert and professional and, what is most important, always available to the citizens of our country when they need it the most," said Vucic and added:

"I congratulate you on the holiday, I am convinced that we will continue to have members of your branch as the strongest support in preserving peace and stability," President Vucic's congratulatory message states.

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense Milos Vucevic stressed in his congratulatory message that the Land Army is the most numerous and well-equipped branch of the Serbian Army.

"I congratulate all members of the Land Army on November 16 - Service Day. Nurturing the tradition of the famous heroes of Kolubara, on this day you are celebrating the 108th anniversary of the existence of your service. The Land Army, as the most numerous and well-equipped branch of the Serbian Army, manages to successfully respond to all demands through good organization and careful selection of personnel which entail tasks and missions carried out on the ground.

Wishing you much success in the organization of our country's defense system in the coming period and maintaining control in the Land Safety Zone, in which I am sure you will be professional and operational as before, I congratulate you on the holiday."
