Anthony is a guy who worked at a Boston restaurant that Brian Walshe would rent several times a week to host private dinners during which he was doing deals. Over the past eight years, Brian hired Anthony to be his personal waiter during these dinners.

Telegraf.rs journalist Zorica Radulovic, who is reporting directly from Boston about the case of the missing Belgrade-native Ana Walshe, did an exclusive interview with Anthony, in which he openly talks about Brian Walshe, Ana, and their relationship.

  • How did you meet Brian?

- I worked in an exclusive restaurant in Boston where Mr. Walshe would come with his clients, friends and family to celebrate some private events several times a week.

  • Did Ana come with him?

- She was always there, they came together. He was bringing his clients but she was with them.

  • How long did you work for him?

- Eight years. I am 30, when I was 22 I started working for him. When I met him, Brian was a respected figure in Boston. That was before the artwork scandal for which he was later convicted. Because of the reputation he had, we all made sure that he had the best possible service.

  • How did people react to that fake artwork scandal?

- Everyone went their own way and he wasn't coming that often anymore. He was no longer considered a respectable man in Boston. When you're a prominent person in Boston, you don't want to be in the company of fraudsters, so they rejected him.

  • When was the last time you worked for him?

- I last saw him five or six months ago. We met at the bar of a restaurant where I worked but I didn't serve him.

  • When was the last time you saw Ana?

- I haven't seen her for several years. When I saw them, they were always with the children. She would bring the children.

  • How was he with the children?

- Everyone was part of those gatherings, he was the host and tried to entertain everyone, including the kids.

  • Did you notice anything strange in the way he treated Ana?

- They were always nice to each other. The behavior was nothing out of the ordinary. They came several times a week and I was the one who served them, there were no scandals.

  • How many people would come to these dinners?

- They would gather seven, eight people. They mostly had a bigger table.

  • Did you know Ana personally and what was your opinion of her?

- I knew her personally. She was caring towards the children and made an effort around them.

  • How did Brian treat the staff? You and your colleagues who served him?

- Brian Walshe was never nice to the employees. Unpleasant situations happened more than once. After Ana's disappearance and Brian's arrest I spoke to my colleagues who also worked for him and we all agreed that he was rude and disrespectful to the staff and not always nice to us. No one was happy to have to serve him. We all have a negative impression about him and it was not a nice experience to serve him. Ana was OK with the employees, but he was always full of himself. He was rude all the time.

  • What is your opinion about this situation?

- It's really sad. That morning it was announced that Ana went missing and when I woke up I got many messages from my fellow waiters and they all asked, 'Did you hear what happened'. Considering how he behaved towards us, everyone wrote the same thing, "He must have done it, it's definitely him'.

  • Does that mean you suspect Brian did it?

- He's a conman.

  • Do you think he had money issues?

- He had no problems with money. He had many apartments in the city and the surrounding area. I don't think money was decisive in all this. He always had good wine and that is the first thing that shows you someone is rich. Good wine, good bourbon and best possible service.

  • Was he capable of doing such a thing, according to you?

- Murder is huge, a serious state of mind. The only thing I can say is that he was rude, full of himself and might have been ready to hit his wife, but I can't say that he killed her.

  • Did you ever witness something indicating he might be violent toward Ana?

- No, not really. But the only thing I noticed was that he was touching female staff members in the restaurant. He behaved strangely in this sense, he'd put his arms around women's waists and grabbed their hands. He did that in front of everyone. He flirted with them.

  • Did you ever meet his mother?

- She never came, he didn't bring her.

  • Was there ever any unpleasant situation involving him?

- One time he threw a piece of bread at me. As I brought the bread, he took a piece and threw it at me, saying, 'this is not bread'. My reaction to that was completely professional and I remained calm.
