A video showing the growth and branching of a Pancic spruce was projected on the facade of Belgrade Tower during the Orthodox Easter holiday, and on the occasion of celebrating the anniversary of the birth of Josif Pancic, the company Belgrade Waterfront announced today.

Pancic, or Serbian spruce is a species of conifer endemic to Serbia, discovered by scientist Josif Pancic on Mt. Tara in 1875.

"Pancic was a geologist, a professor and one of the founders of natural sciences in our country," the announcement states, adding that by reviving the memory of the great Serbian scientist in a completely unusual and original way, Belgrade Waterfront reminded again how much care should be invested in marking important dates that changed the world.
