In Bangui, the capital of the Central African Republic, a regular rotation of the contingent of the Serbian Army deployed in the European Union mission for training of security forces of this African country has been carried out.

"Our contingent in this peacekeeping operation consists of a staff officer on duty as the head of the medical service in the mission and a medical team in charge of medical training support and primary health care of international forces," announced the Ministry of Defense.

The doctors and medical technicians from the Serbian Army who have received their orders will, like the previous contingent, perform tasks in a complex security environment for the next six months.

Their predecessors successfully carried out all the tasks related to preventive medical care and treatment of the injured and sick, and thus presented professionalism and the training of the members of the medical service of the Serbian Army in the best possible way.

The Serbian Army began participating in the European Union mission in the Central African Republic in 2016, and by engaging in EU military operations, which are implemented within the framework of the common security and defense policy, the members of the Serbian Army, in addition to preserving peace in the world, also contribute to strengthening the foreign policy position of our country.
