The Clinical Center Kragujevac spoke for Telegraf.rs on the occasion of the flood in this health facility, caused by heavy rainfall during the night.

"In the night between June 15 and 16, 2023, due to heavy rainfall, the basement of the Kragujevac University Clinical Center in the Surgical Block with the Sterilization Department, in the RH Center building, the basement of the Pediatric Clinic and the Economic and Financial Services building was flooded," they stated.

As they add, intensive work has been done since last night to repair the consequences of the flooding.

"Teams of workers of UKC Kragujevac, in cooperation with city utility companies, have been working intensively since last night to remove the consequences of the flooding, but the healthcare institution will work today according to an emergency mode of operation, which means taking care only of patients in urgent condition," the Clinical Center Kragujevac announced.

They also said that if there is no new heavy rainfall in the coming days, they expect that from Monday, June 19, the Kragujevac University Clinical Center will return to business as usual.

According to reports, 37 municipalities in Serbia are battling floods this morning.
