Interior Minister Bratislav Gasic met today with the outgoing ambassador to Serbia of the United Arab Emirates, Mubarak Saeed Al Dhaheri, with whom he discussed the past cooperation between Serbia and the UAE in the field of interior affairs.

Minister Gasic and Ambassador Al Dhaheri assessed that the cooperation between the two countries is at an extremely high level and concluded that it is of mutual interest for it to continue with the same intensity.

Minister Gasic stressed that it is always difficult when we part with close friends, especially those who sincerely contributed to improving the overall relations between our countries, and he wished Ambassador Al Dhaheri much success in his work and career going forward.

Ambassador Al Dhaheri thanked the minister for the support he had during his mandate here, and expressed his belief that relations between Serbia and the United Arab Emirates will continue to develop successfully.

The interlocutors agreed that it is the wish of both parties to further deepen the brotherly relations established by presidents Aleksandar Vucic and Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and concluded that in the coming period, they will work on further improving Serbian-Emirati cooperation at a strategic level.
