Prime Minister of Serbia and representative of the Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) for Belgrade Ana Brnabic has assessed the opposition's stance towards elections as surreal - in that it has drastically changed since last week compared to everything they said in July and August.

"Opposition in July and August - 'Elections are not a topic! If they are called, there will be citizens in the streets, civil disobedience, strikes, blockades'. Opposition in September - 'We demand elections! If we don't win, we will be in the streets!'," Brnabic posted on the social network X (Twitter), Tanjug reported.

Brnabic also added, "(there's) The election list 'It's there, but then again is' - and added that this was, "surreal."

A part of the opposition that has been organizing the "Serbia Against Violence" protests submitted on Monday to the Presidency of Serbia a request to call early parliamentary elections.
