People die in bus accident in Montenegro

At least three people died, while several others were injured in the accident that happened on the Cetinje-Budva road today.

As confirmed by Vijesti the bus drove off the road, and now the casualties are being pulled out of the vehicle.

All available police officers from Budva and Cetinje were sent to the scene of the accident, and members of special police units are also on the way, said this report.

Six ambulances were on the scene. The Budva Security and Rescue Service told Vijesti that they sent three firefighting vehicles - because there are many injured people.

The emergency crews, doctors and medical staff of the Clinical Center, as well as the Cetinje hospital, have been put on alert to receive the casualties.

"On the main Cetinje-Budva road, a traffic accident occurred, as a result of which a Papovic (company owned) bus landed off the road. All available units of the police administration are at the site as well as the emergency medical services and the Directorate for Emergency Situations," the local police said on X.
