The Croatian national football team suffered a shocking defeat against Turkey in Osijek (0-1) and thus, at least for a time, postponed qualifying for the European Championship, which will be held in Germany next year.

Baris Yilmaz decided the game with his goal socred in the 30th minute, but the match was marked by individuals chanting singing of Ustasha songs.

On Friday, a video appeared in Croatian media showing how hooligans wanted to bring a banner into "Opus Arena" a few days before the game.

They succeeded in their intention, but thanks to surveillance cameras, the banner was found and removed.

It featured the Ustasha symbol, while the initials HNS (Croatian Football Association) were crossed out, and there was also a message reading, "We exist."

They most likely wanted to display the banner during the match against Turkey. You can see what that thing looked like here.

Regardless, the Croatian team could still face punishment for the chants heard during the match, which violated a previous "conditional" ban on the presence of fans during one match.
