"A terrible crime was certainly committed in Srebrenica. And it was no problem for someone (from Serbia) to come and pay respects and express regret and everything else. And everyone (accused) has been held responsible for it. Just please - don't invent and don't speculate about verdicts that are not what you represent them to be"

It was established before the International Court of Justice that Serbia is in no way responsible for the alleged genocide in Srebrenica, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said today, during a visit to a trade fair in Mostar, Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Responding to a journalist from Sarajevo who said that "Serbia was found guilty by the International Court of Justice in The Hague because it did not prevent genocide" - he said that she should not fabricate things and that a terrible crime was certainly committed, but that Serbia is not responsible for genocide.

Vucic added that once Serbia submits proposals for resolutions regarding, for example, Jasenovac or Kragujevac, Kraljevo, Jajinci and many other execution sites (where mass killings of Serbs, Jews, Romani, and others took place), it will "not say who did it."

"A terrible crime was certainly committed in Srebrenica. And it was no problem for someone (from Serbia) to come and pay respects and express regret and everything else. And everyone (accused) has been held responsible for it. Just please - don't invent and don't speculate about verdicts that are not what you represent them to be," stressed Vucic.

Serb Republic (RS) President Milorad Dodik said that more Serbs were killed in Sarajevo during the siege than there were victims in Srebrenica.

"We don't want to live with a people who are trying to put such a disgraceful label on the Serbs, one that we don't deserve at all. First of all, nothing genocidal happened, they are trying to create a myth about Srebrenica, and it is not that," said Dodik.

He added that the fact that Rwanda is a co-sponsor (along with Germany) of that (UN General Assembly) resolution, speaks volumes about the whole story, considering that in the African country, 970,000 members of one ethnic group got killed in a single day.

"They are talking about Srebrenica, where it has not yet been proven that more than 4,000 died. And no one mentions the 3,500 Serbs who were killed during the same time. So, it is not a simple situation at all. People in the RS are upset and they will not accept to live with Bosnian Muslims under conditions where they label us in such disgraceful ways," he stated.
