Prosecution reacts after train collision in Belgrade: 5 people injured, these are next steps in investigation

After the railway traffic accident that occurred late on Friday in Belgrade, the on-duty public prosecutor from the First Basic Public Prosecutor's Office in Belgrade went to the scene to carry out an investigation.

The Criminal Investigations Police Directorate was ordered to submit its report to the Criminal Police Department, the higher department worked on the event.

Five participants in the accident suffered bodily injuries (two were seriously hurt while three had minor injuries), including a train driver and a conductor.

The driver of Srbija Voz as well as the driver of the Cargo train who participated in the accident were questioned at the scene.

Pancevacki Most and Vukov Spomenik station masters will be questioned.

After receiving the reports, a decision will be made on the possible initiation of criminal proceedings against the person/s responsible for the occurrence of the traffic accident that endangered railway traffic.

After obtaining the said reports and everything else that was requested, the prosecutor will inform the public about further action.
