The students taking part in the blockades last night demanded the immediate dissolution of the Serbian National Assembly and scheduling early parliamentary elections in accordance with Article 109 of the Constitution of the Republic of Serbia.

"We believe that democracy is the only correct way to solve a political crisis of this magnitude, therefore we call on the people to support the (electoral) list to which the students in the blockade from all higher education institutions in the territory of Serbia will transfer their trust, so that the truth will prevail on the scales of justice," said an Instagram post.

It continued, "the student movement initiated protests in unprecedented numbers, showed that the voice of the youth is not just noise, but a force that can initiate changes, restore dignity and awaken hope for justice and freedom, and proved that the sovereignty of our country is in the hands of the people."
