Representatives of 35 companies from Netherlands coming to Serbia next week: New investments also expected

President of the Assembly of Serbia Ana Brnabic said on Wednesday in The Hague that next week, representatives of 35 companies from the Netherlands will come to Serbia to explore investment opportunities and added that she expects new investments from that country.

Brnabic stressed that this is good news and that at the meeting with the Dutch IT company Levi9, which already employs 700 engineers in Serbia, additional investments in advanced technologies and the opening of more centers for innovation and development were announced.

"So, as far as the economy is concerned, this is great news. The Netherlands is certainly one of the largest foreign investors in Serbia and we have no problems there," Brnabic said, replying to journalists.

According to her, the Netherlands and Serbia have economic relations that develop much faster than the political ones.

"If politics could make that up, then it would really be very good, and above all for our European path. But Dutch investors are extremely happy in Serbia and want to continue investing, and more are interested in coming. Which is important to us because of the blockades that have slowed down our economy, so it is good news for citizens that foreign investors, even from the most conservative countries such as the Netherlands, are not giving up on Serbia, they have confidence in Serbia. So the 'blockaders' lost their battle there, too," stressed Brnabic.
