Students and opposition continue to block court in Novi Sad

A small group of students, citizens and supporters of opposition parties continued to block the Higher Court in Novi Sad this morning, preventing employees from entering the building.
The police were deployed in front of the court, and there was pushing at one of the entrances.
The group is making noise by blowsing whistles and vuvuzelas.
The protest started yesterday morning, and the blockade continued throughout the night.
The participants say the reason for the blockade is the extended detention of activists from the opposition Movement of Free Citizens (PSG) and the Stav organization, who are accused of trying to undermine the constitutional order of Serbia. The protesters announced that the blockade will last until they are released.
Among the participants are opposition politicians, including Marinika Tepic and Goran Jesic.
On May 12, the Higher Court in Novi Sad extended for another 30 days the detention of six PSG and Stav activists suspected of the crime of preparing acts against the constitutional order and security of Serbia.
They were arrested on March 14, after the media published an audio recording where people, said to be members of the PSG, were heard planning to break into the RTS building during a student blockade on March 15 in Belgrade.
In this case, the Higher Public Prosecutor's Office in Novi Sad filed an indictment against 12 suspects, six of whom are now abroad and have arrest warrants issued for them.
