Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy Adrijana Mesarovic has condemned the blockade of bridges in Belgrade and the protests across the country.

"This has nothing to do with democracy, this is pure harassment of citizens who want to work, live and build their future in a stable and developed Serbia," Mesarovic weote on her Instagram account.

She pointed out that those carrying out these blockades are again trying to paralyze Serbia and instead of using ideas and programs to fight, are sowing unrest, endangering the basic rights of citizens and trying to stop the state.

"Blockades, threats, violence, pressure - that's not politics, that's the bottom of the barrel. Citizens don't support them, so they are trying to create an image of chaos. But Serbia is not chaos - Serbia is a country of order, law and stability! We will not allow a minority to blackmail and threaten the safety and right to a normal life of a vast majority of citizens," Mesarovic stressed.

The minister also stated that Serbia will not stop because of a group of destructive people aiming to come to power.

"Serbia is moving forward strongly, led by President Aleksandar Vucic and Serbian Progressive Party leader Milos Vucevic, continues to build factories, roads and create jobs. Serbia wins with work, knowledge and responsibility, not aggression and blockades. We will not give Serbia away," Mesarovic concluded.
