Movement of Socialists warns: Civil war can only be avoided if laws start to be applied

The Movement of Socialists has condemned in the strongest terms the brutal beating of students who want classes at their faculties to resume, and who were attacked by students taking part in blockades.
"Civil war can be prevented and avoided only if laws finally start to be fully applied, without concessions and retreating before bullies. It is high time that competent state institutions start applying laws consistently and without exception," the party stated, and added:
"Who is going to protect decent citizens of Serbia from thugs and blockaders who think that absolutely everything is allowed to them and that they are above the law and the Constitution, since they have not been held accountable, punished or sanctioned for a single criminal act?
The decent Serbia can no longer watch the destruction of the country. We wish the students who were brutally beaten last night a speedy recovery and all the best to them and their parents.
We are once again warning, civil war can only be avoided if laws starts to be applied."
