Massive traffic jam completely paralyzes Ada Bridge in Belgrade: Unprecedented scenes

A massive traffic jam formed on Tuesday on the Ada Bridge over the Sava River, in the direction of New Belgrade. Vehicles were stranded in columns that were not moving at all.

We have learned that the cause was a malfunction in the tram system that crosses the Ada Bridge, and a large number of workers from the GSP service have been observed on the tracks.

A crane that was brought to the bridge for repair purposes blocked all lanes in the direction of New Belgrade and stopped all traffic.

For now, the exact cause of the breakdown is not known, but judging by the scenes we encountered, it seems to be serious.

A large number of trams are also stranded on the tracks, along with many GSP vehicles dispatched to fix the problem.

Traffic in the opposite direction, towards Belgrade, is running smoothly. Because of the situation on the Ada Bridge, the Gazela Bridge has more traffic than usual this afternoon.
