Serbian Assembly President Ana Brnabic said today that there will be no civil conflicts in Serbia and that after almost nine months of a brutal attempt at a color revolution, Serbia has won thanks to the wise policy of President Aleksandar Vucic, who prevented those conflicts.

Brnabic told K1 TV that she is proud and happy to be a part of President Vucic's team, who, she said, advocates for reducing tensions and divisions in society, but added that the majority in the ruling SNS, herself included, did not correctly understand the tolerance and the concessions the state was making as the "blockaders" were breaking the law.

"But when you look at it from this perspective, their only goal was to provoke interventions. And the goal of the foreigners (who back them) was for the state to intervene, so they could say, 'It's a dictatorship, you have the green light, start civil conflicts'. We managed to avoid that thanks to the wise policy of President Vucic," Brnabic stressed.

She said that more and more people understand what has been happening over the last 8 to 9 months and that they are in favor of stability, peace, functioning institutions and dialogue within institutions, rather than violence, hatred, civil conflicts and harassment.

Brnabic added that a celebration was planned for tomorrow at a local football stadium in Gorobilj, near Pozega, on the occasion of the opening of a section of the Milos Veliki highway leading to Pozega - but that during the night someone demolished the stadium in order to prevent that gathering meant to mark the launching of a new road that locals have wished to have for decades.

"Now that it happened, they wanted to celebrate it. You know what the people's reaction is now, they are angry, disappointed, it is completely unclear to them why this was done. No pumping of lies, no media machinery, no pressure groups, no influx of money helps. People see with their own eyes," said Brnabic.

She added that parents in Novi Sad also saw it, when their minor children were blocked by a handful of protesters for five hours after returning from a school excursion.

Brnabic said that there are also young people, such as students Milos Pavlovic and Vladimir Balac, and their families and friends, who will never support those who called them names and humiliated them.

The Serbian Assembly president stated that there was a terrible scene last week in Novi Sad where the police had to guard students and professors who were taking part in exams, when a mother accompanying her daughter to the location got insulted, humiliated and cursed by a handful of protesters.

"Can you imagine anyone supporting that option, after everything that happened. People won't. Thanks to the wisdom of Aleksandar Vucic, Serbia found a smart, if more difficult way to get out of all this, which is why this victory is all the greater, because it still brings us some long-term stability when all this is over," said Brnabic.
