SNS leader and adviser to the president Milos Vucevic told Prva TV today that the "blockaders" are asking for elections in Serbia, which for them would be "just a trigger for new fuel."

Vucevic also stressed that because of this, the citizens are being presented with rigged opinion polls, that show some "blockader list" in the lead compared to the SNS.

"If that were different, then you would have (calls for) citizens to take to the streets. I've never seen a bigger shift than in (local elections in) Kosjeric, for someone to lose a third of their votes in three weeks. No one has succeeded in achieving that before," said the SNS leader.

Vucevic also said that he thinks elections should be held in 2026, in the second half of the year.

"We see that the president is mentioning either December of this year or December of next year. If you ask me, I think December 2026 is better. Whenever elections are held, the SNS will participate. We understood (from said polls)  that the blockader's list is the favorite, while we will try to achieve the best possible result. We have local elections in the fall, we will have plenty of chances to see what the mood of the citizens is," Vucevic said.
