Man shot 14 times in bloody Belgrade incident dies in hospital

M.P. (43), who was seriously wounded last night in a shooting in the Ledine neighborhood in New Belgrade, has died.

He passed away at the Emergency Center, Telegraf.rs learned on Wednesday.

M.P. was attacked in front of a residential building where he lived, in the parking lot. According to unofficial information, he was hit with 14 bullets, fired from a weapon with a silencer, so the only sound that was heard was made by one bullet that missed the victim and hit a car window.

M.P. was shot in the head, neck, chest, stomach and legs. He was transported to the hospital in a critical condition and underwent two surgeries. The doctors were able to remove the bullets from his chest and stomach, but were ultimately unable to save his life.

S.P. (34) has been arrested on suspicion that he was the shooter.
