Milorad Dodik today took to X to react to the Central Election Commission of Bosnia and Herzegovina (CIK BiH) deciding to take away his mandate as president of the Serb Republic (RS, Serb entity in BiH).

"More sh*t coming from Sarajevo. The last one," wrote Dodik.

Dodik's defense has the right to file an appeal against this decision with a panel of the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina, which deliberates election-related appeals. After the end of thus process, the decision will be final.

The session of the CIK with this item on the agenda came after Milorad Dodik was sentenced by the said court to one year in prison and received a six-year ban from holding the office as RS president.

Dodik's lawyer, Goran Bubic, has already announced that he will request a temporary measure delaying the execution of this decision, which will be appealed against at the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Yesterday, the RS Government met and adopted eight conclusions, including the one rejecting the ruling of the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and calling on all parties to support Dodik.

The RS National Assembly is also expected to meet.
