Serb Republic (RS) President Milorad Dodik will reportedly be ordered to pay a fine, which replaces an earlier decision by the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina that sentenced him to prison.

According to the Avaz website, the court ruled on a request filed by Milorad Dodik's legal representatives to replace the prison sentence with a fine, and after the Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina made its stance known, the request was approved.

"The prison sentence has been replaced by a fine," the court has reportedly announced.

Previously, the same court found RS President Milorad Dodik guilty and sentenced him to one year in prison and a six-year ban on political activity.

He was sued for not complying with decisions made by the international representative in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Christian Schmidt.
