Identity of maniac who mowed down children with jet ski in Pancevo is revealed

Police officers have arrested Milan Jakovljevic (29) from Pancevo, who is suspected of driving into a kayak on the Tamis River with a jet ski, injuring several children.

We have unofficially learned that several children were injured and that luckily, the injuries are minor. All the children got very upset.

Jakovljevic allegedly has an upper arm injury.

Jakovljevic is accused of the criminal act of causing general danger and is being detained for up to 48 hours.

Horrifying videos that have surfaced show a man on a jet ski, who was according to eyewitnesses visibly intoxicated, driving at high speed past the children who were having a training session, knocking some into the river, and then coming back for several other passes past the four children and their coach who jumped in to help them.

The mother of one child said several were injured, including her own.

"The coach tried to call out to the man on the scooter and stop him from running amok... He insttead turned around again and drove by aggressively again. Coach Nesa went into the water in a boat in an attempt to prevent him and help the children... One girl cut her back when she fell, another child has a knee injury, my child has a bruise on his stomach and a bruised wrist... These are children between 6 and 10 years old. This is hell," the visibly shaken woman told the Zdravo Pancevo site.

The scooter driver allegedly fled the scene after the incident. The videos also show other screaming children and parents who watched the horror unfold from the river's bank.

Reports later said that Jakovljevic had previously quarreled with the coach.

The prosecutor from the Basic Public Prosecutor's Office in Pancevo asked for a report from the police about the whole incident, as well as the condition of the injured children.

It is possible that the case will be forwarded to the Higher Public Prosecutor's Office in Pancevo.
