Commission in Pristina verifies Serb List and Serb Democracy for local elections in Kosovo and Metohija

The president of the Central Election Commission in Pristina, Kresnik Radonici, has stated that the participation of the candidates of the Serb List and Serb Democracy in the local elections on October 12 in Kosovo and Metohija has been verified.

This happened after the commission accepted the decisions of its Appeals and Objections Panel, Pristina-based media reported.

The Supreme Court in Pristina previously rejected an appeal lodged two commission members from the Self-Determination party against the panel's decision to certify the Serb List.

On August 26, the Self-Determination filed the appeal to the Supreme Court in Pristina.

On August 24, the Electoral Appeals Panel overturned the commission's decision to reject the confirmation of the candidates of the Serb List because it had "assessed that they did not meet the legal criteria for participation in the elections."
