State Secretary in the Serbian Ministry of Mining and Energy, Sonja Vlahovic and Korea Hydro and Nuclear Power (KHNP) CEO Jooho Whang on Tuesday signed today two memorandums of understanding, related to cooperation in the field of nuclear energy and hydrogen.
The memorandums were signed as part of the Korean-Serbian Forum for Strategic Energy Development, which was held in Belgrade, organized by the Serbian Ministry of Mining and Energy and the Korean trade and investment promotion organization KOTRA.
As stated after the signing, the main goal of the memorandum in the field of nuclear energy is to provide support to the Ministry of Mining and Energy in development and training of personnel in Serbia in the field of nuclear technologies and to facilitate the exchange of technical information and expertise between the two parties.
It was stressed that the memorandum on cooperation in the field of hydrogen will enable joint work on the assessment of the potential for development of green hydrogen pilot projects in Serbia, through technical exchange and support in developing human resources, as well as exchange of knowledge related to management of the full hydrogen cycle and the supply chain.
The Serbian-Korean Energy Forum was held at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Belgrade, and this one-day event brought together representatives of institutions and businesses from both countries.
