Man arrested at Bela Zemlja administrative crossing for alleged war crime
Members of the so-called of Kosovo police arrested D.N at the Bela Zemlja administrative crossing, on suspicion that he allegedly committed a war crime against civilian population during the conflict in the Autonomous Province of Kosovo and Metohija.
According to the prosecution in Pristina, it is suspected that D.N. participated in the killing of 25 ethnic Albanian civilians in the area of the municipality of Gnjilane, together with members of the Serbian police and military forces, in the period from April 13 to 30, 1999.
A joint statement issued by the so-called Kosovo the police and the prosecutor's office said stated that the prosecution will submit a request for D.N. to be kept in detention.
