The Center for Social Stability has invited citizens who oppose blockades organized by anti-government protesters to join peaceful family walks on September 27 in more than 200 cities, municipalities and settlements.

"We are inviting all citizens who are opposed to the physical blockades of faculties and roads to join the largest so far peaceful, family-friendly walks in every major city in Serbia," the Center for Social Stability said in a post on X.

This organizations added the gatherings will start at 18:30, just like during previous weekends.

"On that occasion, we expect over 200,000 citizens who will send a strong message that it's time to stop the illegal blockades, violence and social divisiveness within our nation. Come to express national unity and love for our one and only fatherland together on Saturday, September 27, by marching in your town," the post states.

Gatherings of citizens who oppose the blockades have been held for the past five weekends in Serbia, at the invitation of the Center for Social Stability. These rallies were registered with the police and took place in a positive atmosphere, peacefully and without incidents.

The message of the citizens who attended was that they want to return to normal life they led before the blockades which interfere with everyday life, freedom of movement, work, and study.

According to data from the Ministry of Internal Affairs, more than 144,000 citizens gathered in 125 places on September 13.

Similar rallies were also held on September 8 in 111 locations, gathering over 126,000 people, on August 31, when more than 103,000 citizens participated in almost 100 towns and settlements, on August 23, when about 70,000 people gathered for rallies in 71 places, as well as on August 20, when they attracted 33,000 people in 47 places.
