Estonia imposes sanctions against Milorad Dodik; He is now banned from entering that country

Estonia has announced that it has imposed sanctions against SNSD leader Milorad Dodik.
Minister of Foreign Affairs of Estonia Margus Tsahkna has stated that this country is introducing sanctions against two people who "undermine the sovereignty and territorial integrity of states and encourage separatism."
"The new sanctions enable a ban on entry of persons for whom there is evidence of participation or active support of activities abroad that violate the norms and principles of international law," said Tsahkna, adding that the sanctions are being introduced against former Moldovan MP Irina Vlah and Milorad Dodik.
Sanctions can also be applied to persons who "incite separatism, undermine the sovereignty of states, or have committed a serious financial crime involving public funds, including corruption, or a crime characterized by money laundering," writes Klix.
Estonia adopted these sanctions on September 25. With this new measure, Estonia can take steps on the international stage "to help preserve or restore peace, international security and international legal order."
Sanctioned persons are prohibited from entering Estonia.
