National Assembly President Ana Brnabic set to call regular local elections in Mionica and Negotin

President of the Serbian National Assembly Ana Brnabic will on Wednesday announce the holding of regular local elections in Mionica and Negotin.

Brnabic will sign the decision on calling elections for councilors in the Municipal Assembly of Mionica and the Municipal Assembly of Negotin at 10:00 tomorrow, the National Assembly announced.

The last regular elections in Mionica and Negotin were held on October 17, 2021.

According to the Law on Local Elections, councilors are elected for a four-year term, while the vote must be held no later than 30 days before the end of the term of the councilors whose mandate is expiring.

No less than 45 and more than 60 days can elapse from the day local elections are announced and the day the voting takes place.

The decision to call elections determines the date of the vote, as well as the day from which the deadlines for conducting election activities.
