President Aleksandar Vucic meets with Liberian Foreign Minister, discusses strengthening cooperation, projects

Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic spoke today in Belgrade with Minister of Foreign Affairs of Liberia Sara Beysolow Nyanti, about deepening bilateral cooperation, strengthening economic relations, but also about launching joint projects in agriculture, infrastructure and information technologies.

"An excellent conversation with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Liberia about deepening bilateral cooperation, strengthening economic relations, as well as about current global issues and those in our region. Our countries are connected by a long-standing friendship going back to the days of the Non-Aligned Movement and confirmed through 65 years of diplomatic ties," wrote Vucic on the Instagram account "buducnostsrbijeav".

He stressed that during the meeting they touched on economic cooperation and trade, as well as the initiation of joint projects in agriculture, infrastructure and information technologies, including the exchange of experiences in e-government and digital transformation.

President Aleksandar Vucic emphasized that Serbia supports Africa in obtaining a permanent seat in the United Nations Security Council, with the desire that the voice of Africa be heard in the most important UN body that is in charge of maintaining peace and security in the world.

He added that he also informed his interlocutor about the most important developments regarding the situation in Kosovo and Metohija.

"On that occasion, I pointed out that Serbia remains committed to dialogue and preserving peace and security for our people," said Vucic.

The president added that he is pleased with Liberia's participation in EXPO 2027 in Belgrade and the further strengthening of ties for the benefit of citizens.
